Well, credit where credit is due – score one for cancer.
O.J. Simpson died last week before revealing who really killed Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.
He said he was going to find out, didn’t he?
Besides the pleasant fact of his death, O.J.’s passing means that no writer ever has to the word “alleged” when referring to him ever again – legally, you can’t slander the dead.
He left an estate estimated to be about $114 million in debt – money owed the Goldman family – and, one assumes, a mountain of memorabilia. Expect to see that on eBay – or in a Vegas hotel room - soon.
I wonder who his roommate in hell is going to be…post in the comments – I’m leaving them open - who you think would be the funniest.
Speaking of hell, it was revealed last week that National Public Radio is a leftwardly biased institution.
I know – water’s wet, forks don’t go in outlets, socks first, then shoes – not exactly breaking news.
But there has been some hope raised by some that maybe – just maybe – the chickens are coming home to roost for the progressive media like NPR and The New York Times.
Sadly, that is not going to happen because it doesn’t have to – the chickens already pay rent (subscription fees, donations) to roost their so neither organization has to do any actually “hmm, I wonder if we’re a bit out of touch?” soul searching.
In fact, even hinting at the possibility they may not be exactly perfect will cause Times readers and NPR listeners to revolt, to unsubscribe, to not write that check for that tote bag. You see, the wokerati are so cocooned that any questioning of the given words are literally an existential threat to their psychiatric well-being.
So nothing will change because neither the producers nor the consumers can allow it to happen.
Speaking of nothing changing, Sneaker of the Louse Mike Johnson (R-HUA) cast the deciding vote to keep letting your much-vaunted intelligence community spy on you – a lot.
Congress gave a two-year extension to, among other things, Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which allows warrantless surveillance of foreigners and is also routinely used to spy on American citizens.
Years of bitching and moaning and the fact that it has been proven in black and white that the government has been spying on American citizens and still no change. Darin LaHood, an Illinoyed congressman, himself was furious last year about being targeted for “backdoor” searches by the FBI.
That’s true – he was.
Guess what he did last week? Voted to keep the very thing that kinda-sorta-but-not-really allowed the FBI to spy on him.
And DC Republicans wonder why much of the base of the party does not exactly trust them.
And why they are so rabidly backing Donald Trump.
Speaking of Donald Trump, the Biden administration instituted an executive action to try to keep him from firing people if and when he is elected.
Trump had created something called Schedule F, which was new classification of currently completely protected civil servants that would lose some of that protection.
In other words, they could be fired. The schedule referred to employees in policy making positions, those who regularly handled classified material, etc. The Sir Humphreys of the world, shall we say, the mere humble functionaries that are in fact in charge of everything because their appointed political masters are either too dense to figure out what exactly is happening in their departments or simply really do not care as long as they get to call themselves “Secretary of Folomongy” or something.
Needless to say, the left was livid at the idea that their friends and neighbors and relatives in high-ish places could possibly get fired, so out has come all manner of “the civil service is wonderful” and “Trump will replace people with his unholy minions” stories.
Remember this from a few weeks ago?
In what can only be described as bureaucrat porn – “oh baby, stamp form A-HM-892 again! And AGAIN!” - the New York Times shared with the world a student council-level/can we please join? video last week that makes the case for the deep state being “awesome.” https://thomas699.substack.com/p/about-last-week-9e3
Here’s the video and do actually watch it: https://www.nytimes.com/video/opinion/100000009356253/trump-deep-state.html
Of course, as it was an executive order and not a law, Trump can simply go back to the Schedule F concept. But now the media has a hook to hang countless cronyism stories on him - it’s a pre-planned mini-Russian collusion type attack.
You have to give them credit for forward thinking at least.
This week’s thank you epigram is in honor of Masters’ weekend:
“Never up, never in.”
It’s a golf quote so stop your naughty giggling.

Rumors are swirling that Klaus Schwab has been hospitalized. Hopefully he dies a death befitting a Satanist. Although he deserves a very special place in hell it would be rather entertaining to have him room with OJ. Since the Elites are supremely racist…I mean just look at Planned Parenthood. Their founder was all about reducing the black population.
