There will be more detailed items coming tonight and/or in the morning, but I wanted to say a few things about Tuesday.
First, thanks to my subscribers again. It seemed a lot of y’all did stop by the site yesterday and it’s much appreciated, though I was a bit disappointed that no one left an obscene rant in the open comments.
Second, Kamala Harris just gave her concession speech, the speech she was too chicken and/or shitfaced to do last night. As with Hillary’s failure to do the same in 2016, it is a truly vicious insult to the people who believe in you, who have helped you, who have knocked on doors for you to just blow them off on election night.
That being said, even though it was filled with her rambling, slightly slurry tics, it was actually her best speech of the campaign. It didn’t have specifics, it was full of cliches, but it sounded pretty real.
And it seems she knew who her supporters were – younger city folks who have no idea of the concept of being an adult and who needed her permission to feel upset by the vote.
“It’s okay to feel sad,” Harris – really – said.
Finally, while this will be noted in more detail in another piece, at about 3:30 a.m.(eastern) a commentator on MSNBC – yes I watched multiple news outlets to get an across-the-board feel to better serve my readers, feel free to upgrade to a paid subscription to pay my cable bill…lol – was talking about the Trump win would have on “women’s health.”
That’s code for abortion, by the way, as if women have no other health concerns…
She – didn’t catch her name, doesn’t matter – characterized the pro-life supporters as part of the “forced birth movement.”
Seriously and really.
With that kind of thinking, maybe the Democrats will not be able to learn any lessons from Tuesday’s drubbing.
Chat soon and thanks again!!
