Considering the state of his mental acuity, the least shocking Washington scandal ever is that Joe Biden forgot where he put something.
Clearly there is more to the “classified papers scattered by Biden along the Acela corridor” brouhaha than could be explained by the image of him patting his jacket for the keys to his Corvette, but the negation of the importance of the problem began in earnest the moment it was revealed…well after the mid-term elections for some reason.
Unquestionably, the FBI prefers investigating Trump for his equivalent alleged misdeeds, but only in part because they really really really want to nail him for something, anything, no matter what or how long it takes. That’s because the Trump investigation is also easier - the FBI knew ahead of time where Trump’s stuff was and only had to raid one Trump property and they know the documents left the White House on January 19, 2021 or thereabouts.
With Biden, his cheat sheet for the nuclear codes could be literally anywhere between Rehoboth and Rangoon and his cache could have been wandered away from where they’re supposed to be pretty much anytime over the past decade or so. And Hunter could have sold and/or smoked some of them so there’s that door left open.
