A few pacific thoughts, starting with the FBI in New Orleans and its response to the horrible terrorist – yes it was – attack in New Year’s Eve.
The FBI briefer in question stated categorically it was not a terrorist attack in her first briefing, a briefing that also featured her seeming to say “pacifically” instead of “specifically,” her facial piercings, which are strictly prohibited by FBI standards, and the phrase “…devices that was…”
And you wonder why people don’t trust the FBI.
As to specifically/pacifically, that depends upon which clip you watch, but considering “devices that was,” it’s a pretty good bet.

It can be only hoped that a certain multi-zillionaire will endow an Anti-Peace Prize, especially considering how moribund and woke and meaningless the Nobel in that category has become – remember, Obama got one for getting elected and Yasser Arafat and Henry Kissinger each got one for killing people.

As to binge watching, why is it so addictive? Obviously always wanting to see what happens next plays a role, but there may be another psychological issue at play.
That’s because – even though you’ve only been sitting on a couch covered with potato chip dust watching TV for six hours – when you finish a season and/or a show there is an odd sense of accomplishment.
In other words, you feel like you actually did something when in fact you did not. And that’s very convenient.
