Climate Zealots Eliminating 1/3 of Dutch Farms
Netherlands Government Implementing Nitrogen - NOT a "Greenhouse Gas" - Cuts by Killing Animals, Farm Livelihoods
I do not usually do this, but as the move by the Dutch government to eliminate 3,000 farms is so astonishingly evil - and related to a piece I wrote three months ago - that I thought it merited a note and an update.
Essentially, the Netherlands government - and the manurecrats at the European Union - decided that nitrogen – again, not a greenhouse gas (see below) - emissions caused by the use of fertilizer is bad so farms and pigs and cows must go.
Despite its tiny size - it’s about as big as southern New England (Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts) combined - the Netherlands is the world’s second largest exporter of agricultural products - only the U.S. exports more.
This unnecessary draconian action echoes Sri Lanka’s recent foray into mandated nationwide all-organic farming – it did not go well - and could foreshadow actions by other governments around the world.
To that end, I thought it would be a good idea to re-send – or just send when it comes to my newer subscribers; thanks again! – this piece that discusses what would/will happen if similar actions were taken in the United States.Â
First, here is a detailed look at the latest news from the Netherlands:
