At 2 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, I will be sitting down with Trish Wood to chat for an hour about all and sundry for her “On the Fringe” podcast.
Trish is along-time Canadian journalist, author, and television producer who has covered gangs in Tokyo, wars in Africa, made a documentary about Ted Bundy, and interviewed countless important and famous people (leading me to wonder “Why me?” but I’ll take it…)
Per her website, she is now “bringing to a podcast her electric interviewing style, hard-won wisdom and wicked humour, crushing agenda-driven overload with critical thinking. Trish’s deep empathy for the downtrodden but fearless questioning of the powerful creates profound moments. Neither left nor right of center — she is a Libertarian in her head but a champion of the working class in her heart — she can’t be pigeonholed and refuses to see the world through the lens of manufactured talking points and toxic dogma.”
As to Saturday, the main topic will be my recent piece on COVID societal alienation - https://thomas699.substack.com/p/the-alienation-of-covid , but I suspect we will delve into other areas of interest.
You can listen live here - https://tntradio.live/shows/on-the-fringe-with-trish-wood/ - or if your Saturday schedule doesn’t allow for it you can listen to it later at your leisure.
Hope you tune in!
