I imagine that many of those words are used because many of the people who started this nonsense were in some sort of therapy and were familiar with those terms.
Many of these people I have had the unpleasant experience of meeting had psychotherapy as a part of their existence and those that didn't in my opinion needed to.
Those that did it was a large and natural part of thier life like sunrise and rain or visiting auntie or grampa.
But like with many things instead of trying to genuinely improve, they are eternal victims, eternally right and therefore twist everything to their selfish self-centered aims.
It then spreads like cancer and when they combine with others become a malignant terminal tumor in the body of society.
