Years ago Rush Limbo warned us that once government took charge of our "health care", it will open the door to total control. Everything, he said, can be called health related, and he listed examples from how Britain used "health and safety" rules to control all sorts of human activity.
And, in my last regular checkup, most of the time was spent answering their questions about my social, housing, and mental conditions, so that I barely had time to mention my own health concerns, and there was no time at all to investigate those. So, that HPI approach is already being applied outside of CA. I doubt I'll have another checkup; why bother? I'll live until I die.
